The Taj Mahal of Negros
The Ruins is an ancestral home of the Lacson family. Top 12 of the most fascinating ruins around the world, it has been open to the public for 8 years now (as of this writing 2017). It is built in memory of Maria Braga Lacson the first wife of Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson , known as the “Taj Mahal of Negros”. The property is now owned by the family of Mr. Raymund Javellana. The Ruins is located at Hacienda Sta. maria, Talisay City Negros Occidental. It is open daily from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm.
I won’t tell you more about it’s history because Roger explains it better. 😄😄😄
TECHNICAL DETAILS:
The Ruins has 930 sqm floor area with 8 bedrooms and 1 master bedroom. What makes it extra special is it has egg white finishing. Up to this day they still have the original floor tiles and structure. It has the most expensive floor tiles according to the most famous tour guide “Roger” of PBB (hehehe).

PROUDLY NEGRENSEE-MADE PRODUCTS:
In every trip, I always look forward what memorabilia I can bring home to remember the trip forever. And I always love the fact that each place have their own amazing product for tourists to bring home.
I find Negrensees very artistic and colorful. It shows to the products they have in this pasalubong shop inside the RUINS. Other than the usual shirts, caps, keychains, ref magnets and bags they have this hand made items I really love. Not to mention the beautiful keychains and ref magnet replicas of the ruins.

This I super love! The miniatures are amazing! |
FOOD ITEMS – available in the second pasalubong store outside “The Ruins”.

Because Bacolod has a great plantation of Sugar Cane! They call this the healthy sugar. |
I bought the carved ref magnet and key holder and I so love it 🙂
TIP: When buying gifts or pasalubong, don’t buy the usual or generic memorabilias, look for something that is specially made and created by hand that can only be bought in that location. I mean coz if you’ll buy something printable hmmm I feel that it’s not that authentic. 🙂
